In view of the upcoming Chhath festival jointly by West Singhbhum District Magistrate-cum-Deputy Commissioner Shri Ananya Mittal and Superintendent of Police Shri Ashutosh Shekhar, various Chhath Ghats located at Chaibasa and Chakradharpur were inspected for better law and order maintenance.

Chaibasa was first reached by the Deputy Commissioner and Superintendent of Police and other officials, the ladder ghat located in Chakradharpur, where the place of Chakradharpur, Shri Sukhram Oraon, District Land Acquisition Officer Shri Ejaz Anwar along with Sub-Divisional Officer, Municipal Council In the presence of the Executive Officer, Circle Officer and others, the Ghat premises were inspected. After inspecting the said ghat, the police station Ghat located at Chakradharpur, Dhandasai Ghat, followed by Chaibasa Sadar Sub-Divisional Officer, Sub-Divisional Police Officer, Block Development Officer, Circle Officer, Municipal Council Executive Officer and others, Karni Mandir Ghat at Chaibasa, Gandhi Tola Ghat, Kuju River Ghat and others were inspected. After the observation, it was told by the Deputy Commissioner that during the observation of the Ghats, especially the security arrangements, Instructions have been given to the officials attached to keep the cleanliness and other arrangements related to the convenience of the visiting devotees healthy. He said that if the depth of water on the ghats is more, then the monitoring towers to take care of all the activities including barricading to the safe place, adequate lighting arrangements on all the ghats including the roads leading to the ghat, changing places for the fasting people. In addition to construction, toilet facilities, light and medium boats have been directed to keep them organized on the ghats. It was told by the Deputy Commissioner that the administration has also been directed to ensure the security arrangements at the ghats, So that no unpleasant information is received from anywhere and the people of the district can celebrate the festival of folk faith with gaiety and customs. The Gaushala complex and the fair site were also inspected. During this, after getting detailed information related to organizing the fair after talking to the fair organizing committee, directions were given to the concerned officials to keep the parking arrangements and security arrangements on the fair organizing day.
